Monthly conversations
Count customer threads requiring a response, not every individual message.
Estimate the monthly value of automating customer conversations. Enter volume, automation level, reply time, team cost, conversion rate, expected lift, and average order value.
Use it for website chat, Instagram, WhatsApp, or a combined workflow. It does not connect to your accounts. Results are planning estimates—not guaranteed revenue or audited ROI.
Count customer threads requiring a response, not every individual message.
Estimate the percentage the chatbot can complete for its intended workflow.
Include reading, research, writing, and routine follow-up.
Use loaded employee cost, an outsourced rate, or the value of your time.
Enter the percentage producing a sale, booking, qualified lead, or another defined result.
Estimate the relative improvement from more timely or consistent handling.
Enter average revenue per completed conversion.
Use one counting rule across Instagram, WhatsApp, and website chat. Deduplicate customers moving between channels.
Monthly conversations × AI automation level
Automated conversations × Minutes per reply ÷ 60
Hours saved × Team cost per hour
Automated conversations × Conversion rate × Expected conversion lift × Average order value
Team cost saved + Revenue influenced
Conversion lift is relative. If the current conversion rate is 3% and you enter a 10% lift, the incremental rate is 0.3 percentage points. It does not become 13%.
Consider 1,200 monthly conversations, 70% automation, four minutes per manual response, $25 hourly team cost, a 3% conversion rate, 10% relative lift, and an $80 average order value.

Total monthly opportunity
The total is not automatically cash profit. If payroll remains unchanged, released team time must reduce outsourcing, delay hiring, improve service, or support higher-value work to create economic value.
Answer repetitive questions, collect information, share order or service details, and route conversations. Value depends on volume, handling time, answer quality, and escalation frequency.
Answer pre-purchase questions, identify needs, and guide customers toward a product, booking, checkout, or salesperson. Value depends on completed outcomes, not messages sent.
A customer thread or case is usually more useful than an individual message. Do not mix tickets, messages, and unique customers.
Exclude outbound messages with no engagement. Decide whether a customer moving between channels represents one opportunity or two conversations, then keep that rule. Use a 30-to-90-day average so exceptional weeks do not distort the estimate.
Include conversations handled to the required outcome, such as FAQs, standard information, initial qualification, or appointment preparation. Exclude specialist judgment, sensitive information, disputes, exceptions, and complex negotiations. A greeting alone does not make a conversation automated.
Use lower automation and conversion assumptions.
Use the workflow you can realistically deploy.
Use a stronger result that remains operationally possible.
If one small assumption changes the result dramatically, validate it with a controlled pilot.
The calculator does not include platform subscriptions, implementation, training, maintenance, quality assurance, or human escalation costs.
Estimated monthly opportunity − Platform, setup, training, and operating costs
Net value ÷ Total chatbot investment × 100
Avoid double-counting: team cost saved, hours released, and work completed during those hours may overlap. Review Dealism pricing.
Record a baseline, then track conversations, AI handling, escalations, handling time, conversions, attributed revenue, and operating costs using the same definitions.
ROI may remain low when volume is limited, cases require specialists, business information is incomplete, or outcomes cannot be tracked. Poor answers can create rework that erases savings.
Start with one high-volume, low-risk conversation type. Define completion and human takeover, compare the pilot with your baseline, and replace assumptions with measured data before expanding.
Dealism combines predictable automation with an AI Customer Agent that can continue open-ended conversations using approved business information and hand off when judgment matters.
Create a Dealism account →Yes. Run multiple scenarios without connecting an account.
Not always. It may represent capacity unless paid hours, outsourcing, or future hiring decreases.
There is no universal percentage. Review real conversations and count only categories the chatbot can complete accurately, including any required action.
Yes. For support, focus on handling time and cost. For sales, include only trackable conversions.
Yes. Use one consistent definition and remove duplicate customer opportunities across channels.
Replace estimates with measured benefits, subtract all implementation and operating costs, and divide net value by total investment for the same period.
Dealism replies the second they message, sounds completely human, and quietly closes deals in the background.
