Select the country code.
Choose the country where your WhatsApp number is registered.
Create a scannable WhatsApp QR code with your phone number and a prefilled message. Customize its color and size, then download it for menus, packaging, signs, business cards, screens, and more.
A WhatsApp QR code stores a click-to-chat URL in a scannable image. When someone scans it with a phone camera, WhatsApp opens a conversation with the selected number. If you added a message, that text appears in the message box for the customer to review and send.
The destination usually follows this structure:
Example:
The QR code removes the need to type or save the business's number. It does not send a message without the customer's action. Meta introduced business QR codes as a way to start WhatsApp chats from places such as storefronts, packaging, and receipts.
If you need a tappable destination for a bio, email, or digital campaign, use the WhatsApp Link Generator.
Choose the country where your WhatsApp number is registered.
Use the number connected to WhatsApp. Do not repeat the country code or add spaces, brackets, or dashes.
Add an optional question or greeting that helps the customer begin.
Select a color with strong contrast and a size appropriate for its final placement.
Scan the finished code with a phone before adding it to a menu, sign, package, or campaign.
Write the message from the customer's point of view. Make it specific enough to explain the intent, but easy to send without editing.
Hi, I scanned your QR code. Is [product] available?
Hi, I'd like to book [service]. What times are available this week?
Hi, I scanned your menu and would like to place an order.
Hi, I need help with an order I recently received.
Hi, I met your team at [event name] and want to learn more about [offer].
Avoid asking customers to place passwords, payment details, medical information, or other sensitive data in a prefilled message.
A standard static WhatsApp QR code does not provide a complete analytics dashboard by itself. A simple way to identify sources is to create different codes with different opening messages:
“Hi, I scanned the QR code on your menu…”
“Hi, I scanned the code on my product…”
“Hi, I saw the QR code outside your store…”
“Hi, I found you at [event name]…”
When the customer sends it, your team immediately sees the context and can compare which placements create useful conversations.
A static QR code generated from a wa.me link has no scheduled expiration and can work while the destination number remains valid. The downloaded image does not update itself: if the number or message changes, generate a new code. It can also fail if the number is disconnected from WhatsApp.
This generated code is different from the native business QR code available inside WhatsApp Business. WhatsApp explains that its native business code can be shared, printed, and reset from the app. Resetting that native code does not edit a separate static QR image created from a wa.me link.
Choose a dark QR color against a light background.
Do not crowd the code with text, borders, or illustrations.
A poster viewed from farther away needs a larger code than a phone screen.
Keep it away from seams, curved edges, heavy texture, and glare.
Scan it on iPhone and Android when possible, at the expected distance and in realistic lighting. Test a physical proof before a large print run.
| Format | Best use | Customer action |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp QR code | Menus, packaging, posters, counters, and screens | Scans with a phone |
| WhatsApp link | Social profiles, emails, ads, and digital messages | Taps the link |
| WhatsApp chat button | Websites and landing pages | Clicks a visible page button |
All three can open the same chat. Use a QR code for scanning, a link for online sharing, and a WhatsApp chat button as a persistent website entry point.
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The camera cannot recognize it | Low contrast, small size, glare, or insufficient clear space | Increase contrast and size, then test again |
| WhatsApp says the number is invalid | The country code or number is incorrect | Verify the international number and regenerate |
| The wrong chat opens | An old or mistyped number was encoded | Correct the fields and download a new code |
| The old message appears | The QR image was generated before the message changed | Replace it with the newly generated image |
| It scans on screen but not in print | The printed code is too small, blurred, folded, or reflective | Test a larger, sharper physical proof |
| WhatsApp opens but nothing is sent | Prefilled messages require customer confirmation | Ask the customer to press Send |
Do not edit the pattern of the downloaded QR code manually. Return to the generator whenever its destination needs to change.
A QR code solves the first step: it helps an interested customer reach the right WhatsApp conversation. It cannot answer the question, understand what the customer needs, qualify the opportunity, or follow up when the conversation goes quiet.
Dealism combines repeatable automation with an AI Customer Agent. Automation handles consistent starting actions. The AI agent continues the conversation, answers product and service questions, understands intent, and involves a person when human judgment is needed.

Yes. You can create, customize, preview, and download a WhatsApp QR code without signing up.
No. A valid code can open the chat without saving the number. The prefilled message appears in the chat box, but the customer still presses Send.
Yes. Choose its color and size before downloading it. Keep high contrast and test the final design.
The generated static code does not include a complete analytics dashboard. Use distinct prefilled messages for different placements to identify the source after customers send them.
No. Both can open a business chat, but this generator creates a QR image from a WhatsApp click-to-chat link. The native WhatsApp Business QR code is managed inside the app.
The QR code only opens the chat. Once your WhatsApp channel is connected to Dealism, automation and the AI Customer Agent can help manage the conversation that follows.
Dealism replies the second they message, sounds completely human, and quietly closes deals in the background.
