Good to know

If an automation isn’t triggering, first check the channel connection, automation settings, Autopilot status, Agent assignment, Credits, and Support Needed conversations. After making changes, test the trigger again to confirm the workflow is working correctly.

Overview

If an automation is not triggering, first identify which workflow is affected.

The issue may come from the automation configuration, channel connection, Autopilot status, available Credits, Agent assignment, or a conversation that needs human attention.

Check Instagram comment-to-DM

If a comment-to-DM automation is not starting, go to Channels > Auto-DM links from comments > Config and open the affected workflow.

Confirm that the automation is enabled and review its trigger settings.

Check that the correct post or Reel is selected, the configured keywords match the intended comments, and the DM content has been saved.

Then go to Channels and confirm that Instagram shows Connected.

After making changes, save the workflow and test it with a new comment that matches your trigger.

Check WhatsApp Autopilot

If your AI Customer Agent is not automatically replying to WhatsApp messages, open the affected conversation in Inbox.

Confirm that Autopilot is ON for that contact. If you’re using global Autopilot, also check the Autopilot control next to the search bar on Web or in the Inbox toolbar on mobile.

Then check that WhatsApp shows Connected under Channels and that the correct Agent is assigned to the conversation.

Go to Settings > Usage to make sure Credits are available for AI replies.

Check Support Needed

If a conversation is marked Support Needed, review it before expecting the Agent to continue automatically.

Open the conversation, review the context, and respond manually if necessary.

If the Agent was missing information, update its Knowledge or Strategies and test the change.

When the conversation is ready for automatic handling again, turn Autopilot back ON.

Check scheduled tasks

If a scheduled task did not run, review the task’s timing and make sure the messaging channel it depends on is still connected.

You can ask DealOnca to show your scheduled tasks to confirm that the task is still active.

If the task was cancelled or its timing needs to change, create an updated task with the correct schedule.

Check the channel connection

Automations that depend on Instagram or WhatsApp cannot work correctly if the required channel is disconnected.

Go to Channels and confirm that the affected channel shows Connected.

If it appears connected but activity is still not reaching Dealism, check Inbox and your workflow configuration. Reconnect the channel if the connection itself appears to be the issue.

Check your Credits

AI-generated replies use Credits.

Go to Settings > Usage and review your available Credits and recent usage.

If no Credits are available, your AI Customer Agent will not be able to generate new AI replies until Credits become available again.

Test the automation again

After making changes, reproduce the original trigger.

For comment-to-DM, use a new comment that matches the configured workflow. For Autopilot, send a new customer message through the connected channel. For a scheduled task, review its configured timing and active status.

Then check Inbox to confirm that the expected action occurred.

If the automation still doesn’t trigger

Review the automation configuration, channel status, Agent assignment, Credits, and Support Needed status one more time.

If everything appears correctly configured but the workflow consistently fails to trigger, contact Dealism Support with the affected channel, automation, trigger, and an example of when the automation should have run.
