Good to know

You don’t need to complete every setup step at once. Start with your Agent, Knowledge, and one messaging channel, then test with Try Me and Copilot before enabling Autopilot.

Overview

Use this checklist after creating your Dealism account to make sure your workspace, channels, AI Customer Agent, Knowledge, and automation settings are ready.

You don’t need to complete everything at once. Start with the core setup, test your Agent, and then enable automation when you’re comfortable with its responses.

Complete your account and profile

Start by reviewing your basic business information.

Make sure your company name, products or services, industry, and Agent objective accurately describe your business. This information gives Dealism a clearer foundation for configuring your Agent.

You can return and update these details as your business changes.

Connect your channels

Go to Channels and connect the messaging platforms you want to manage with Dealism.

Confirm that each connected WhatsApp or Instagram channel shows Connected. Then open Inbox and verify that your customer conversations are appearing correctly.

You can start with one channel and add others later.

Configure your AI Customer Agent

Go to Agents and select the Agent you want to configure.

Review its name, objective, communication tone, playbook, and additional instructions. Make sure these settings clearly describe how you want the Agent to communicate with customers and what it should accomplish.

If you make significant changes, test the Agent again before using Autopilot.

Build your Knowledge Base

Add the information your Agent needs to answer customer questions accurately.

Include important product or service information, pricing, FAQs, policies, guides, and relevant use cases.

Review existing Knowledge regularly and remove outdated or conflicting information. The more accurate and specific your Knowledge is, the easier it is for your Agent to use it effectively.

Review your automation settings

Once your Agent and Knowledge are ready, review how automation should work.

Check Autopilot for individual contacts and your global Autopilot setting for new conversations. If you use Instagram comment-to-DM workflows, confirm that the appropriate workflows are enabled and configured correctly.

Also review any scheduled tasks or follow-ups to make sure their timing and instructions are still correct.

Test your Agent

Go to Agents, select your Agent, then open Basic Info > Try Me.

Test common customer questions, pricing questions, objections, follow-ups, and situations where the Agent may need human assistance.

If you find an incorrect or incomplete response, update the relevant Knowledge, Strategy, or Agent configuration and test again.

Check for Knowledge gaps

Review Support Needed conversations and other situations where your Agent couldn’t confidently handle a customer request.

Repeated questions or problems can reveal information that should be added to Knowledge or situations that need a new Strategy.

You can also ask DealOnca to help review recent conversations and identify areas that may need improvement.

Monitor after going live

Start with Copilot if you want to review AI-generated responses before they’re sent.

When you’re confident in your Agent’s performance, enable Autopilot for appropriate conversations and continue monitoring Inbox.

Regularly review Support Needed conversations, Agent performance, Knowledge gaps, and customer activity so you can continue improving your setup over time.
